BALKAN SECURITY FORUM
Balkan Security Forum is a civil association, established on September 11, 2003 in Sofia, by renowned
experts in the security area.
The aim of the Association is to create conditions for free specialised discussion on
various issues concerning the security of the individual countries on the
Balkans, as well as in the region of the Balkans in general.
The Balkans are going through a complicate
transition to democracy, in order to become a natural part of the European
space. Composed
by very different countries, peoples and ethnoses,
the Balkans are confronting the big challenges of this
process.
The peace and security in the region lay in the base of all the issues.
Their
achievement and support require the efforts of the politicians, as well as the
good will of the peoples of the Balkan countries. But before this, an expert
vision, sober judgment, justified suggestion is necessary – which is within the
capacity only of the experts in the security.
Balkan Security Forum has the ambition to be the centre of this experts’
activity.
Balkan
Security Forum is a non-governmental
organisation, open to every one who has acknowledged reputation as
an expert in the security area and desires to contribute to the piece and
security on the Balkans and in the whole world.
